APAR status

Error description

  • The Watson Assistant Chat opens in a floating window, which
    becomes overlapped when the browser is reduced in size slightly.
    The covers the chat window so user cannot close or minimize it.
    
    Prerequisites:
    
    OpenPages installed
    
    Create and set up the Watson Assistant
    1.	Set up Watson Chat by following instructions here:

    Steps to Reproduce:
    1.	Start Chrome at a fairly large size or fully expanded
    2.	Log into OpenPages UI as OpenPagesAdministrator
    3.	Click on the Start Chat icon located at the bottom left
    corner
    4.	Confirm that you see that full Chat window available for use
    5.	Now reduce the size of the browser slightly. Confirm that the
    top part of the Chat is now obscured, with no way to close or
    reduce the chat panel
    
    Expected Results:
    
    The Chat window should resize in proportion to the panel so that
    all options stay accessible
    
    Actual Results:
    
    The Chat window gets partially hidden
    
    Error Message:
    
    None

Problem conclusion

  • We made a change so that we make sure the Watson assistant is on
    top of the header.  We also shrunk the Watson assistant height
    if the screen is small.
    
    Customers should download OpenPages with Watson 8.2 Fix Pack 1
    (8.2.0.1). See the following document for details on obtaining
    OpenPages 8.2.0.1:
