APAR status

Error description

  • Description:
    When defining and utilizing a 'Multi Valued User/Group Selector'
    field, the system does not filter the results properly when
    selecting the 'End User' option.
    
    Workaround:
    Not found
    
    Prerequisites:
    A)	OpenPages with solutions installed
    
    B)	OpenPagesAdministrator using OpenPages Modules Master profile
    
    C)	Multi Valued User/Group Selector field:
    1.	Log in to OpenPages as OpenPagesAdministrator
    2.	Using the navigation menubar, go to: Administration >
    Profiles.
    3.	Click on a profile.
    4.	Under the 'Object Types' section, click on an object type
    (e.g.: SOXIssue).
    5.	Under the 'Object Fields' section, update a field to be a
    'Multi Valued User/Group Selector' field:
    a.	To update a field, click on the field name (e.g. Issue
    Approver)
    b.	Under the 'Object Field Information' section, clicked on the
    'Edit...' button.
    c.	In the 'Display Type' dropdown, select 'Multi Valued
    User/Group Selector'
    d.	Click on the 'Save' button.
    
    D)	Object Type Filter:
    1.	Log in to OpenPages as OpenPagesAdministrator
    2.	Using the navigation menubar, go to: Administration > Object
    Types.
    3.	Click on an object type (i.e.: SOXIssue).
    4.	Scroll down to the 'Filters' section and click on the
    'Add...' button.
    5.	Create a filter that filters on the field configured on step
    C.5.a (Issue Approver) and click on 'End User?
    6.	Click on 'Save'
    7.	Give the filter a name and description.
    8.	Click on the 'Apply' button.
    
    E) Create the testing data:
    1.	Log in to OpenPages as OpenPagesAdministrator
    2.	Switch to the Standard UI
    3.	At the top-right side, click on Add New button and select
    Issue
    4.	Create Issue01 filling in all the required fields
    5.	For Issue Approver field, select OpenPagesAdministrator and
    then click on Save
    6.	Repeat step 3 and 4 to create Issue02
    7.	For Issue Approver field, select OpenPagesAdministrator and
    another user, then click on Save
    8.	Repeat step 3 and 4 to create Issue03
    9.	For Issue Approver field, select OpenPagesAdministrator and a
    group (e.g. Standalone Users and Groups), then click on Save
    
    F) Filtered List View (FLV) filter:
    1.	Log in to OpenPages as OpenPagesAdministrator
    2.	Using the navigation menubar, go to: Administration >
    Profiles
    3.	Click on a profile (use the same profile as the pre-req
    above)
    4.	Click on the Object Type you used, i.e. SOXIssue
    5.	Scroll to the 'Navigational Views' section and click on
    Filtered List
    6.	Scroll to Associated Filters section and click on Associate
    7.	Tick the checkbox for the filter created and click on Include
    8.	Click on Save
    
    Steps to Reproduce:
    1.	Log in to OpenPages as OpenPagesAdministrator
    2.	Switch to Standard UI
    3.	Using the navigation menu bar, go to: Remediation > Issues
    4.	Under the Analytics Bar, click on the filter created in the
    prerequisites
    5.	Verify that the 3 instances created in the prerequisites,
    step E, are not filtered
    6.	Filter by ?Issue0? and notice the issues created in the
    prerequisites are listed
    
    
    Expected Results:
    Expected the system to return the proper results since the 'End
    User' option is selectable.
    
    Actual Results:
    The Multi Valued User/Group Filter with the 'End User' option
    doesn't appear to filter properly.
