Error description

  • In IE 11, the Task UI does not include scroll bars in the
Business Entity selector popup, which prevents the user from
selecting anything if the list of entities is too long.
In Chrome, the scroll bars do appear.

    To reproduce:
    Prerequisites:
OpenPages 8.1.0.1 with standard test data

Create a view that includes BE selectors:
? Log in to OpenPages as OpenPagesAdministrator
? Go to the gear menu->Manage Views
? Click the Add New button
? Choose Loss Event as the type, and provide a name
? Leave the type as Task
? Select Copy from view ?Detail?
? Check the box for ?Use as the default view for this object
    type for all profiles?
    ? Click Add
? Click Publish to make the view active

    Steps to Reproduce:
? Login to OpenPages as OpenPagesAdministrator, using IE 11
? Go to main menu->Events->Loss Events
? Click Add New, and create a new Loss Event, filling in any
    required fields, then Save
? Go to the Involved Entities section
? Click to edit the Primary Caused Entity field.
? The popup window has no scroll bars and no Cancel/Done buttons
at the bottom, making it unusable:

Problem conclusion

  • We had to make many changes to the style in Carbon and at some
point the modal in the BE selector field was changed to be
inside portal, but style wasn't adjusted. We corrected this.

Customers should download OpenPages 8.2 from Passport Advantage.
See the following document for details on obtaining OpenPages
    8.2:
