Error description

  • You work with IBM SPSS Subscription release installed on a
    Windows 10 64 bit
You have also installed the ODBC DataAccess Pack SDAP 7.1.2 for
64 bit and configured the IBM SPSS OEM 7.1 SalesForce ODBC
driver version 07.16.0218 as you like to import a SalesForce
    database into the Subscription release.

With Modeler Subscription on this same computer and the same
ODBC driver setting you can import the SalesForce database
without any problem, but not with Statistics subscription

If you SPSS Subscription and use IBM SPSS OEM 7.1 SalesForce
ODBC driver on The database wizard of Subscription you get
    error:

SQLDriverConnect failed :ÝIBM SPSS¨ÝODBC Salesforce driver¨A
Java VM has already been created

As a workaround please enter registry settings as shown below
    for the driver.
TThe below value must be set below the driver itself and NOT on
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ODBC\ODBC.INI\
    it must be set on
    driver defined as User DSN:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ODBC\ODBC.INI\<your SalesForce DB
    driver name>
    and/or on
Driver defined as System DSN: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE >
    ODBC > ODBC.INI\<your SalesForce DB driver name>

If it is defined as USER DSN on ODBC admin, the registry path
    is:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ODBC\ODBC.INI\<your SalesForce DB
    driver name>
Right click on <your SalesForce DB driver name> and select

    -Select the 'Edit' menu.
    -Select the 'New' menu option.
-Select the 'String Value' sub-menu option.
    -Enter the following value: CheckJVMChanged
    - Double-click the 'CheckJVMChanged' property, and enter the
following in the 'Value data' dialog box: 0
    - Select 'OK'.
    - Exit the Registry Editor.
    -Reboot your Machine.

Next, launch Subscription and click File - Import Data -
    Database - New Query.
Select <your SalesForce DB driver name> and enter user name and
    password when prompted.
Then your are connected to <your SalesForce DB driver name> and
can import the database winto SPSS Subscription
