Abstract

LIC-DB-JRN Retrieving entries from a filtered remote journal is
slow

Error Description

Following client network outage, remote journal catch up
extremely slow. DSPJRN for some specific journals/receivers
take 1.5 minutes to return.

Problem Summary

Following a long filtered remote journal catch up phase, DSPJRN
for very large journal receivers is very slow.

Problem Conclusion

Filtered remote journal was not generating internal locator
table entries at a sufficient rate during catch up mode. This
caused the retrieval of journal entries to be very inefficient
and slow after catch up mode completed. This has been corrected
and the retrieval of journal entries is now working efficiently.
