Abstract

OSP-OTHER-MSGCPFA0D4 VARY ON OF IASP CAUSES MANY IFS VLOGS AND
LEADS TO FAILURE OF THE IASP.

Error Description

Vary on of iASP after a very long vary off causes many IFS      
vlogs and leading to the failure of the iASP.                  

Problem Summary

Vary on of iASP after a very long vary off causes many IFS vlogs
and leading to the failure of the iASP.                        

Problem Conclusion

Vary off took journal errors because objects became unavailable
which caused an IASP error indicator to be set in a system wide
journal control block.  The IASP error indicator persisted      
through the vary on and caused subsequent errors.  The PTF will
correct this situation.
