Abstract

LIC-MEDIA-TAPE IMPROVE TAPE IOPLESS DRIVER LIC LOGS

Error Description

Some problems require level-3 support to analyze hexadecimal    
data. If the same information recorded as a PAL Secondary Code  
were available, level-2 support would likely be able to        
determine problems quicker.

hexadecimal data. If the same information recorded as a PAL    
Secondary Code were available, support would likely be able to  
determine problems quicker.                                    

Problem Conclusion

Apply this fix to change the code that logs IOPless tape driver
VLOGs to include a dump item that is displayed in character form
as "PRC:0000xxxx", where the xxxx is from the same list of      
reasons as PAL Secondary Codes.  This fix also changes the URC  
information (currently in hexadecimal) to character form        
"URC:xxxx"
