FIRST TOUCH CONVERSION RESULTS IN PHYSICAL FILE DAMAGE

Error Description

SEE PROBLEM SUMMARY.                                            

Problem Summary

Error recovery failures during first touch conversion after OS  
upgrade results in physical file damage                        

Problem Conclusion

If an error is taken during fail conversion after upgrade to    
v5r4, the file may be left in an invalid state by the operating
system.  This could affect any data base file on the system, but
is a rare occurrence.  This APAR corrects the problem.
