APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Purge of exceptions fail with 'ORA-00942: table or view does
    not exist'. This occurs multiple times. IBM script ESDBAdmin.sh
    outputs a number of exceptions in exception tables greater than
    the number of exception tables in the seen in the database.
    Also, Oracle database shows tables in the exception database
    schema that does not appear to be known by IIS.
    

Local fix

  • None.
    
    APAR code fix will clean up the tables upfront purging.
    In addition the fix will be combined with another fix that
    improves the performance of the purge command.
    

Problem summary

  • ESDB database could become inconsistent during exception
    set purge
    

Problem conclusion

  • Improved ESDB purging code. Added consistency checks and clean
    up code.
