Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users using DB2 connector **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An external table allows DB2 to treat a flat file as a database table. The use of external tables might improve read and write performance, compared to classic SELECT, INSERT or UPDATE statements. Current DB2 Connector functionality is limited to bulk load using external tables. **************************************************************** RECOMMENDATION Install patch JR61510 ****************************************************************
Problem conclusion
DB2 Connector introduces support for external tables in most read and write modes. Note that not all DB2 database products support the external tables feature. For detailed information on environment setup and connector configuration please refer to technote "DB2 connector support for external tables in read and write modes" available at: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/959375
