**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users using DB2 connector to load data to tables with DISTRIBUTE BY RANDOM clause **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: During data load to tables created with DISTRIBUTE BY RANDOM clause, DB2 Connector does not assign data processing evenly between the players. Job log contains information about the distribution (example): <DB2_Connector_14,0> Number of records loaded = 10,000 <DB2_Connector_14,1> Number of records loaded = 0 <DB2_Connector_14,2> Number of records loaded = 0 <DB2_Connector_14,3> Number of records loaded = 0 **************************************************************** RECOMMENDATION: Install APAR JR60833 ****************************************************************
Problem conclusion
DB2 Connector code has been corrected to evenly assign data processing between the player nodes. All players will write data using database main node when table was created with DISTRIBUTE BY RANDOM clause.
