Error description
DB2 connector does not provide operational metadata for User-defined SQL write mode
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: IIS users using DB2 connector with User-defined SQL write mode who rely on operational metadata gathering as part of job execution. **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DB2 connector does not provide operational metadata information about tables used in User-defined SQL statements. However, operational metadata is gathered correctly for other operation modes, no matter if the SQL is generated automatically or provided by user. The problem is caused by the fact that the logic responsible for gathering operational metadata is not processing the User-defined SQL at all. **************************************************************** RECOMMENDATION: Install patch for APAR JR60794. ****************************************************************
Problem conclusion
DB2 Connector operational metadata processing logic has been modified to get the User-defined SQL statement and gather table information based on it.
