Error description
When migrating from DB2 LUW V9.1, V9.5 to V9.7, any external routine libraries placed under <DB2DIR>/function directory will be removed. The <DB2DIR> is the DB2 install path. This will result in SQL0444 error after the migration, when any related routines are invoked under the newly updated DB2 instance. the migration is completed. User affected: Any user or applications that uses non-DB2 shipped external routines.
Local fix
If the external routine library is still available under a different directory after the migration, add that path to the Windows system path, and restart DB2. When doing this one must make sure that the search sequence indicated by the PATH variable agrees with is how routine libraries are intended resolved. Alternatively, copy all the non-IBM libraries from <DB2DIR>/function before the migration, and add them back after
