Error description

  • Using the MS SQL Server wrapper, predicates that compare
nickname columns whose remote column type is binary to string or
hex constants sometimes return incorrect results. (MS SQL
Server binary types are SQL_BINARY, SQL_VARBINARY, and
SQL_GUID.) The underlying problem is that DB2 does not always
pass the remote type to the MS SQL Server wrapper. As a
result, the wrapper does code page conversion on the binary
data. In DB2 V9.1 and V9.5, this problem also causes no
pruning from the DONEMSG table when using Q-Replication with an
MS SQL Server target under a federated Unicode database.
