APAR status

Error description

  • Applications will receive sqlcode SQL1042C from the sqlmonss API
when a snapshot with version less than SQLM_DBMON_VERSION6 and
containing subsection info is retrieved from a multiple
partitioned database instance where byte-reversal is required.

Byte reversal is required when the endianess of the client
machine is different from the endianess of the database server
machine. Subsection info is collected when the STMT monitor
switch is on.

Applications using the sqlmonss API with version less than
SQLM_DBMON_VERSION6 in a DPF environment.

Problem Description:
Applications will receive sqlcode SQL1042C from the sqlmonss API
when a snapshot with version less than SQLM_DBMON_VERSION6 and
containing subsection info is retrieved from a multiple
partitioned database instance where byte-reversal is required.
Byte reversal is required when the endianess of the client
machine is different from the endianess of the database server
machine. Subsection info is collected when the STMT monitor
switch is on.

Problem Summary:
If this APAR is not applied, you will see the problem as
indicated in the "ERROR DESCRIPTION".
