Error description

  • It has been observed in some instances after applying patch
QRadar 7.2.8 GA that the QRadar Network Activity tab can be
missing Flow data and when checking the status of the qflow
process on Flow Appliances, it is in running status as expected.

Performing a restart of the qflow process on affected Flow
Appliances allows Flows to be displayed normally again in the
Network Activity tab when this issue is occurring.

Local fix

  • Perform a restart of the qflow process on any affected Flow
    Processor appliances:
    1) SSH to the Flow Appliance
    2) Run the command: ps -elf | grep qflow
Part of the information returned appears similar to
    "/opt/qradar/conf/nva.qflow.qflow108.conf"
    3) Run the command:
    /opt/qradar/init/qflow restart qflow<component#returned_above>

Verify Flows from that appliance are now being received in the
Flow Activty tab of the User Interface.

If the steps above do not restore receipt of Flows, please
    contact Support for further assistance.
