IV84706: QRADAR USER INTERFACE SESSIONS ARE BECOMING DISCONNECTED (SESSION TIMEOUT) UNEXPECTEDLY

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • It has been observed that QRadar User Interface sessions are
    becoming disconnected unexpectedly (session timeout).
    

Local fix

  • The following workaround has been successful at some customer
    locations:
    In environments that this is allowed:  From the QRadar User
    Interface, select the Admin Tab, select System Settings and
    under Authentication settings, change Persistent Session
    Timeout (in days) to 1. The default is 0.  Perform a Deploy
    changes.  After this is done, have all users log out, then log
    back in.
    

Problem summary

  • This issue was resolved with QRadar/QRM/QVM/QRIF 7.3.0 Patch 6,
    7.3.1 GA and 7.3.2 Patch 3.
