IT44606: Memory leak in IBM MQ amqrmppa process when using MQIBindType=FASTPATH

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• amqrmppa process size grows larger with time.
  
  A memory leak is caused by repeated unload/reload of the Object
  Authority Manager (OAM) library. A data block is being created
  at load time, but not freed at unload time.
  
  The leak is seen only when using MQIBindType=FASTPATH in qm.ini
  

Local fix

• Remove the MQIBindType=FASTPATH configuration option until the
  APAR fix is available.
  

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  Users with MQIBindType=FASTPATH where there are many client
  connects/disconnects resulting in the net connection count being
  zero in the amqrmppa proxy server process.
  
  
  Platforms affected:
  MultiPlatform

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  The memory leak is caused by repeated unload/reload of the

Problem conclusion

• Code has been added so that the data block is freed
  appropriately.
