IT43974: MQ IPT reports MQCPE020 and MQCPE048 messages when extending thevalue 'MAXCONNECTIONTHREADS' .

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When trying to extend the 'MaxConnectionThreads' current value
  of '250' to higher value '251' and perform a dynamic refresh of
  the MQ Internet PassThru (MQ IPT) route without stopping the
  route by using the command 'mqiptAdmin -refresh'
  MQ IPT throws this exception:
      MQCPE020 The new value for MaxConnectionThreads is 251. This
  must be greater than the current value 250
      MQCPE048 Route startup failed on port 8081, exception was :
  java.lang.Exception
  

Local fix

• 1. Stop the route (Set Active=false)
  2. Change the maxConnectionThreads value
  3. Start the route (Set Active=true)

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  MQ IPT incorrectly reported that the value of
  MaxConnectionThreads is being reduced when perform a dynamic
  refresh of the mqipt route without stopping the route, when the
  value was being increased.
  

Problem conclusion

• MQ IPT code has been corrected to apply the newly increased
  value of 'MaxConnectionThreads' following a dynamic refresh of
  the route
