Error description

  • After applying APAR IT40332 to an IBM MQ 9.2, the memory usage
of amqrmppa processes might
increase if the SVRCONN channel instances often end abnormally
due to network issue or applications ending unexpectedly.

Users running the queue manager with fix for the APAR IT40332 at
the IBM MQ 9.2 level

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A defect introduced by the APAR IT40332 caused memory leak in
amqrmppa process when the SVRCONN  channel instances ending
abnormally.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • MQ code has been modified to fix the memory leak.

The original IT40332 issue has also been addressed for IBM MQ
9.1 and 9.3, however these releases are not affected by this
follow-on defect.
