Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users with unreliable disk or disk subsystems are more likely to
    be affected by this issue.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A failure to commit a buffered write to the queue manager object
when the crtmqm command was run caused a subsequent strmqm
command to incorrectly attempt to migrate subscription objects.
This caused an FDC with probe identifier KN467022 to be
    generated,
and the queue manager failed to start.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM MQ code was corrected so that updates to object
definitions are written to object files on disk synchronously,
rather than relying on buffered writes.
