Error description

Local fix

  • The issue is not encountered if the standard migration process
    is followed:
    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS5K6E_9.2.0/com.ibm
    .mqa.doc/upgrading/up00066_.htm<span
    style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">         </span>

If the issue is encountered due to performing an upgrade not in
accordance with the documented procedure, rebuild the queue
manager after removing it from HA.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All MQ Appliance users using it for HA DR and migrating from 9.1
to 9.2 without following the documented procedure for migration.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The queue manager migration command sethagrp -u failed to
migrate the queue manager if the HA status on both Primary and
Secondary are in 'Migration Pending' state. This happened if
both the nodes were rebooted with the 9.2 firmware image
    simultaneously.

Problem conclusion

  • The MQ Appliance code has been modified such that the sethagrp
-u -f option always migrates the HA DR queue manager to the
    latest code level.
