Error description

  • IBM MQ includes the runmqras utility to capture diagnostic and
environmental information from the installation to assist
support teams investigating product issues. This APAR adds a
number of enhancements/additional diagnostics to the utility.

IBM MQ users making use of the runmqras utility to collect
diagnostic data.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Additional functionality was required by IBM support in the
runmqras utility.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The following enhancements to runmqras have been delivered:

- Added collection of dspmqtrn output as part of runmqras
-section dap

- Added collection of "netstat -an" output on AIX

- Added a new parameter option '-noqmdata' to only capture
installation-level diagnostics, skipping any queue
manager-specific diagnostics

- Added commands to capture cpu info of the platform

- Added collection of dspamschl output for IBM MQ Appliance
queue managers

- Added a message to let users know the "-ftp IBM" option is no
longer available as the IBM FTP
servers for diagnostic uploads have been disabled

- Include timestamp on the runmqras output file

- Added collection of the directory listing for the qmgr log
directory

The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs:
