Error description
On the IBM MQ Appliance, if the invalid -zipfile argument is supplied to the runmqras command, the correct error is reported, however the mqcli exits back to the toplevel appliance cli: mqa(mqcli)# runmqras -section defs,trace -zipfile zipFileName AMQ5056E: Argument -zipfile supplied to command runmqras is not permitted on this platform. Error launching /opt/mqm/bin/mqdpcli (incomplete firmware package?) mqa# A failure data capture (FDC) record with identifiers similar to the following is generated: | Installation Name :- MQAppliance (1) | Probe Id :- DP010020 | Application Name :- MQM | Component :- dpcCmd_runmqras | Program Name :- mqdpcli | Major Errorcode :- OK | Minor Errorcode :- OK | Probe Type :- INCORROUT | Probe Severity :- 4 | Probe Description :- AMQ6125E: An internal IBM MQ Appliance error has occurred. | Comment2 :- Bad address MQM Function Stack CLI dpcCmd_runmqras xcsFFST After encountering this issue, users may re-enter the mqcli as normal, without any functional impact.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users of the IBM MQ Appliance, who supply one of the the argument to the runmqras command that are not valid on the IBM MQ Appliance. The runmqras arguments that are not valid on the IBM MQ Appliance are: -inputfile -outputdir -workdirectory -zipfile Platforms affected: MultiPlatform **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A logic error in the mqcli utility on the IBM MQ Appliance cause the current cli process to incorrectly terminate after identifying an invalid argument to runmqras, returning the user to the top-level cli.
Problem conclusion
