APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the uninstallRDQMsupport script is executed it writes the
    following
    errors to the console:
    
    No Match for argument: MQSeriesServer-9.1.0-2.x86_64
    No Match for argument: MQSeriesRuntime-9.1.0-2.x86_64
    No Match for argument: MQSeriesRDQM-9.1.0-2.x86_64
    No Match for argument: MQSeriesSamples-9.1.0-2.x86_64
    No Match for argument: MQSeriesClient-9.1.0-2.x86_64
    
    The script uninstalled the MQSeriesRDQM packages correctly,
    but failed to remove the MQSeriesServer, MQSeriesRuntime,
    MQSeriesSamples and MQSeriesClient packages.
    

Local fix

  • a) Alter the script and specify the appropriate file name, or
    b) Manually uninstall the Fix Pack rpm.
    

Problem summary

    Users of MQ's RDQM feature on 9.1.0.2 and later releases

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    The uninstallRDQMsupport script was executed but a defect in the
    script caused the following errors to be written to the console:
    
    No Match for argument: MQSeriesServer-9.1.0-2.x86_64
    No Match for argument: MQSeriesRuntime-9.1.0-2.x86_64
    No Match for argument: MQSeriesRDQM-9.1.0-2.x86_64
    No Match for argument: MQSeriesSamples-9.1.0-2.x86_64
    No Match for argument: MQSeriesClient-9.1.0-2.x86_64
    
    The script uninstalled the MQSeriesRDQM packages correctly,
    but failed to remove the MQSeriesServer, MQSeriesRuntime,
    MQSeriesSamples and MQSeriesClient packages.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The defect in the script has been corrected and script has been
    modified to ensure
    that the packages are installed in the correct order.

    v9.1 CD    9.1.5
    v9.1 LTS   9.1.0.4
