IT28062: While getting an empty message, XMS .Net applications reports CWSMQ0282E and crash.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Consuming an empty message in asynchronous mode using an
  unmanaged .NET XMS application encounters an XMSException such
  as below in the application log.
  
  IBM.XMS.XMSException: CWSMQ0282E: A null value has been used for
  argument BUFFER = <> NULL within method
  ImportMQMDMesageBuffer(WmqSession, WmqDestination,
  MQMD,byte[],int,int).
  The preceding method detected an invalid null argument.
  If necessary, recode the application to avoid the error
  condition.

Problem summary

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  When an empty message is put by any application and got
  asynchronously by an XMS application in unmanaged mode, a
  certain buffer was not initialized properly before using,
  causing the XMS application to throw the exception.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code has been modified to initialize the buffer when empty
  string is being get by the XMS application.
