Error description

  • If you have a comment at the end of your stored procedure,
    db2look incorrectly adds the delimiter at the end of the comment
    line.

    For example :

    more sp104.sql
    CREATE PROCEDURE sp104()
    LANGUAGE SQL
    SPECIFIC sp104
    DYNAMIC RESULT SETS 1000
    begin
    end
    -- Procedure
    @

    db2look generates the following :
    ....
    CREATE PROCEDURE sp104()
    LANGUAGE SQL
    SPECIFIC sp104
    DYNAMIC RESULT SETS 1000
    begin
    end
    -- Procedure ;

    COMMIT WORK;
    ...

    If you try to execute the output generated, it will fail with
    error SQL0104N :
    db2 -tvf db2look.sql
    CREATE PROCEDURE sp104()
    LANGUAGE SQL
    SPECIFIC sp104
    DYNAMIC RESULT SETS 1000
    begin
    end
    -- Procedure;

    COMMIT WORK
    DB21034E The command was processed as an SQL statement because
    it was not a
    valid Command Line Processor command. During SQL processing it
    returned:
    SQL0104N An unexpected token "WORK" was found following "
    COMMIT". Expected
    tokens may include: "END-OF-STATEMENT". LINE NUMBER=9.
    SQLSTATE=42601

Local fix

  • Manually correct it
