Error description
When an v11.1 db2 client is connected to a downlevel database server, then a GET DATABASE CONFIG operation performed on the client may incorrectly display the ENCRLIB and ENCROPTS values, as described below: When connected to a v10.1 fixpack4 or later db2 server, or a v10.5 fixpack3 or later db2 server, the ENCRLIB and ENCROPTS values will never be displayed, even if they are configured on the database server. When connected to a v10.1 fixpack3 or earlier db2 server, or a v10.5 fixpack2 or earlier db2 server, or a db2 server from v9.7 or previous releases, the ENCRLIB and ENCROPTS values will be displayed with garbage values, even though they do not exist on the database server.
Local fix
Execute the GET DB CONFIG operation directly on the database server, or use the DBCFG administrative view or the DB_GET_CFG table function to query the database configuration values.
