Error description

• On systems, where locale/region is set to an unsupported locale,
  the client GUI may report the ANS5055E error during browsing of
   the directory where objects have non-English characters in
  their name, if it is launched from Applications folder.  For
  correct string conversions the locale must be set to a supported
   language.

Local fix

• 1. Run the client GUI from terminal window with this command
  "open /Applications/Tivoli\ Storage\ Manager/Tivoli\ Storage\
  Manager.app"
  
  2. Follow the LANGUAGESETUP process and set the language to
  English as instructed in the Apple support document
