  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • It has been identified that disabling Custom Event Properties
(CEPs) used in rules or calculated CEPs cause a "No property
<'VALUE'> exists in set" error due to the CEP not being loaded
    into the in-memory CEP cache.
This can lead to issues such as rules not firing, false
positives, inability to drill down into an event, and offences
    not being generated.

Local fix

  • From an SSH session to the QRadar Console appliance find the
CEPs that are having the problem using this grep command:
    # grep -r "UnknownPropertyException" /var/log/ | grep -o -E "No
    property '[a-zA-Z0-9 ]+' exists" | sort | uniq
Enable the CEPs reported from the above command

Problem summary

  • This issue was fixed in QRadar QRM QVM release of 7.3.1 Patch 1.
