APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • It has been identifed that after restoring a "data" backup,
    accumulated data files from outside the currently configured
    retention period are never deleted by the accumulator disk
    maintenance task.
    This can lead to an excessive amount of accumulation data files
    being stored on the system causing future data backups to take
    longer than expected (or sometimes failing) to complete.
    

Local fix

  • Remove NORMAL, HOURLY and DAILY accumulation data files for
    each Global View that is outside the configured retention
    period from the restored "/store/ariel/gv/records/"
    Contact Support if further assistance with this process is
    required.
