APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The DB2 installer changes IOCP status to AVAILABLE when it is in
the DEFINED state, but this change is not permanent across
reboots. Thus, DB2 changes the state only temporarily.

After applying the fix, IOCP will be AVAILABLE permanently both
after installation of DB2 and rebooting the system.

Local fix

  • Enable system IOCP manually via smitty.
