APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Informix BYTE is a kind of LOB data type. With the "BINARY_REP"
    column option, the predicate related to this column may be
    pushed down to remote data source, which makes the SQL statement
    failed because Informix BYTE can't be directly compared or
    bound.

    The possible error message would be:

    SQL1822N Unexpected error code "-615" received from data source
    "InformixSer".
    Associated text and tokens are "Blobs are not allowed in this
    expression.".
    SQLSTATE=560BD
      Return Status = 0

Local fix

  • Delete the "BINARY_REP" column option
