Technology Level (TL) 7300-03 for AIX 7.3 contains preventive maintenance, new software features, and support for new hardware.

How to Obtain the TL
The TL can be obtained from the Fix packs section of the Fix Central website.
It can also be downloaded through the Service Update Management Assistant (SUMA).
The following SUMA command downloads the Technology Level images to the current directory.
# suma -x -a RqType=TL -a RqName=7300-03 -a FilterML=7300-00 -a DLTarget=$PWD
Unlike previous TLs, Fix Central and SUMA orders for TL 7300-03 will not have a supplementary service pack available immediately at release. The latest fixes will already be included directly in TL 7300-03 instead. This improvement in AIX service packaging is explained more fully in the AIX 7.3 Installation Tips.
- Create a system backup. For more information, see the mksysb command documentation.
- Install the TL following the general instructions in the AIX 7.3 Installation Tips.
- Reboot the system.
- Verify that TL 7300-03 is installed using the oslevel command.
# oslevel -r
7300-03
