Abstract
DIMM removal movie for the IBM System x3650.
Content
To remove a DIMM:
Turn off the server and disconnect all power cords and external cables.
Remove the Cover:
- Press in the cover release latch and rotate up while sliding the cover the rear approximately one-half inch.
- Lift the cover off and place to the side.
Remove the Riser Card Assembly:
- While pressing on the two release latches lift the Riser Card Assembly out and place it on an ESD protected surface.
Remove the DIMM Air Baffle:
- Press down on the finger guide to release the air baffle latch, then lift it straight out of the system.
Remove the DIMM:
- Push out on the two latches and lift the DIMM out of the socket
- Place it on the ESD protected surface.
