Configuring parts and part assemblies

To manage your inventory, you define and describe the parts that are available in your storerooms and the configuration-managed parts that are in operational use on aircraft and equipment. You define parts in the Part Number Masters application.

  • Parts overview
    Part records define the kinds of material and equipment that are stocked in your storerooms. Each part is associated with a specific part set and can be shared by the organizations that use the part set. You use the Part Number Master application to create part records.
  • Defining parts
    When you create a part, you specify initial attributes and then you can configure additional information, such as constructing part assemblies, adding parts to storerooms, associating parts with vendors, and specifying classifications for parts.
