After you have installed InfoSphere™ Warehouse and
the mining features on your operating system, you must enable the DB2® database.
Configuring the DB2 database
management system consists of the following tasks:
- Enabling DB2 databases by calling the idmenabledb command
- Optional: Verify the installation and configuration by calling
the idmcheckdb command
- Disabling DB2 databases by calling the idmdisabledb command
Note: You can use the commands idmenabledb and idmdisabledb only
on the DB server where the database you want to use is located. You
cannot use these commands for remote database servers, because the Intelligent Miner® libraries
are not installed on these servers.
