Choosing TRS feeds for Lifecycle Query Engine
If your IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) applications are registered to a different Jazz® Team Server (JTS) than Lifecycle Query Engine (LQE), you must choose which tracked resource set (TRS) feeds to configure as data sources for LQE. The table in this topic shows what each TRS feed contains, and helps you decide what to configure.
About this task
If LQE and your lifecycle management applications share the same JTS, and if you ran the setup wizard, the TRS feeds are discovered automatically. You can select what you need.
- If you upgraded from version 5.0.2 and use Quality Management (QM) and Requirements Management (RM) data sources, you must add the process TRS feeds for these applications as data sources, and then reindex to pull in the new RDF triples.
- If you upgraded from a 6.x release, or if you installed the products for the first time and ran the setup wizard, the TRS feeds are automatically discovered and added as data sources.
TRS Feed Name | Description |
---|---|
DOORS® Next Process Resources (TRS 2.0) | IBM Engineering Requirements Management
DOORS Next (DOORS Next) process
resources, including project areas and team areas.
|
DOORS Next Resources (TRS 2.0) | Engineering Requirements Management DOORS Next artifacts, including types, requirements, modules, collections, and links. |
ETM Process Resources (TRS 2.0) | Engineering Test Management (ETM) process
resources, including project areas, team areas, timelines, and iterations.
|
ETM Resources (TRS 2.0) | ETM resources, including test plans, cases, scripts, and results. |
EWM Process Resources (TRS 2.0) |
IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) process resources, including project areas and team areas.
|
EWM SCM Change Set Link Resources (TRS 2.0) | EWM source
control management links between change sets and work items. Add this feed manually if you want to report on this data. Also add the EWM SCM Change Sets (TRS 2.0) feed to include change set data in your reports. |
EWM SCM Change Sets (TRS 2.0) | EWM source
control management change sets. Add this feed manually if you want to report on this data. Also add the EWM SCM Change Set Link Resources (TRS 2.0) feed to include links between work items and change sets in your reports. |
EWM Tracking and Planning Resources (TRS 2.0) | Engineering Workflow Management (EWM)
tracking and planning resources, including work items, plans, and releases. This feed provides data such as built-in and custom attributes of work items, categories, time sheets, workflow state and resolutions, and approvals which can be used for reporting with LQE. Work item history, comments and state groups are not included. |
GCM Process Resources (TRS 2.0) | Global Configuration Management (GCM) process resources, including project areas and team
areas. Jazz Reporting Service requires this to associate data with project areas. |
GCM Resources (TRS 2.0) | Global Configuration Management (GCM) resources, including components, configurations, and
type definitions. Provides data about these items to the queries that reference them. |
JTS Link Validity Resources (TRS 2.0) | Jazz
Team Server link
validity resources for semantic consistency and relationships between two artifacts. Add this feed to show the validity status of links or the validity summary of artifacts in DM projects, and DOORS Next and IBM Engineering Test Management projects that are enabled for configurations. |
JTS User Resources (TRS 2.0) | Jazz Team Server user resources. |
DOORS Next Resources (TRS 1.0) | TRS 1.0 for RM data. To upgrade from 5.0.2, you must remove TRS 1.0 and replace it with TRS 2.0 manually. |
TRS 1.0 for QM Resources | TRS 1.0 for QM data. To upgrade from 5.0.2, you must remove TRS 1.0 and replace it with TRS 2.0 manually. |
EWM Tracking and Planning Resources (TRS 1.0) | TRS 1.0 for EWM
data. To upgrade from 5.0.2, you must remove TRS 1.0 and replace it with TRS 2.0 manually. |
TRS 1.0 for EWM Resources | TRS 1.0 for EWM
data. To upgrade from 5.0.2, you must remove TRS 1.0 and replace it with TRS 2.0 manually. |
What to do next
- If you installed LQE on a separate JTS from the ELM applications, follow this procedure: Adding data sources that use a different JTS.
- If LQE and the ELM applications that you are indexing share the same JTS, follow this procedure: Adding data sources that use the same JTS.
