Configuring B2B Advanced Communications integration module

You can enable communications between B2B Advanced Communications and Sterling B2B Integrator for document processing.

B2B Advanced Communications integration module

The B2B Advanced Communications integration module is a collection of adapters and sample business processes that are used to accomplish end-to-end document processing. The integration module adapters provide communications B2B Advanced Communications and Sterling B2B Integrator, and receive and send messages. The sample business processes that are included with the integration module provide specific processing with the adapters.

Integration module adapters include:

MEIG Messaging Config adapter
Business Document Receiver adapter
Business Document Sender adapter
Visibility Event Sender adapter

You can use the B2B Advanced Communications integration module for the following end-to-end tasks:

AS2 and AS4 inbound processing, in which Sterling B2B Integrator receives an incoming payload from B2B Advanced Communications for processing.
AS2 and AS4 outbound communication, in which Sterling B2B Integrator sends a processed payload to B2B Advanced Communications to send on to a trading partner.

Other adapters

There are other adapters that are not included in the B2B Advanced Communications integration module but can be used to send and receive generic messages over the message fabric. These message XML schemas are published with B2B Advanced Communications:

Message Fabric Receiver adapter: Specifies a message fabric endpoint queue to listen on for messages and a business process to start when messages are received. This adapter cannot be used in a group.
Message Fabric Send adapter: Specifies the server to which to send messages from a business process. This adapter cannot be used in a group.
Storage adapter: Reads and writes payloads to and from B2B Advanced Communications storage. This adapter can be used in a group.

There are no specific sample business processes for these adapters because they can be used with any message type. To use these adapters, you need to create custom business processes that process the message type.
