Configuration and deployment activities for MDM and Salesforce.com integration

Configuration and deployment of the InfoSphere® MDM and Salesforce.com integration involves a number of tasks.

Complete the following tasks in the order in which they appear.

  1. Verify that you have all the required components in place and that you download the integration sample.
  2. Create and deploy an MDM and Salesforce.com integration project in Force.com IDE.
  3. Configure the MDM label to display in Salesforce.com.
  4. Set the Salesforce.com configuration properties.
  5. Create a queue and a queue connection factory.
  6. Deploy the behavior extension bundle.
  7. Create an MDM Workbench configuration project.
  8. Modify the default MDM model in your MDM Workbench project if necessary.
  9. Configure metadata for Salesforce.com and InfoSphere MDM Advanced Edition integration.
  10. Set up, configure, and deploy the IBM® WebSphere® Cast Iron® projects.
  11. Load the sample data if you want to use that data for demonstration or testing purposes. There are two sets of sample data. One is used with the MDM Powered Search scenario and the other is used for the bulk data export scenario.
