Reassigning an object store from the graphical user interface

Use the FileNet® Deployment Manager graphical user interface to reassign an object store from one domain to a different domain.

Procedure

  1. From FileNet Deployment Manager, select File > Reassign Object Stores....
  2. Click Next to continue. The Reassign Object Store wizard displays a page that requires connection information for the environment that is associated with the source domain.
  3. Identify the environment for the source domain. You can select an environment that exists in FileNet Deployment Manager, or you can add an environment.
    1. If you select an existing environment, confirm that the connection information is correct and enter the password for the displayed user name, if you are prompted for a password.
    2. If you add an environment, complete the following extra steps:
    3. Provide the URL and account information.
    4. If you want to store the password information with the environment, select Save the password. If FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) 140 ready mode is enabled (it is enabled by default), the Save the password option is disabled.
  4. Click Next to continue.
  5. Identify the environment for the destination domain. You can select an environment that exists in FileNet Deployment Manager, or you can add an environment.
    1. If you select an existing environment, confirm that the connection information is correct and enter the password for the displayed user name, if you are prompted for a password.
    2. If you add an environment, complete the following extra steps:
    3. Provide the URL and account information.
    4. If you want to store the password information with the environment, select Save the password. If FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) 140 ready mode is enabled (it is enabled by default), the Save the password option is disabled.
  6. Click Next to continue.
  7. Select the object store or stores that you want to reassign.
    1. Check Remove from source domain after reassignment to remove the object store or stores that you selected from the source domain.
    2. If you checked the Remove from source domain after reassignment box, you can select to Reassign associated isolated regions and event export stores.
  8. Click Next to continue.
  9. If any errors are returned, fix the errors and rerun the validation step.
  10. Click Next to continue.
  11. Click Finish to reassign the object stores.
