Select one or more non-SMP/E managed data sets to add
If the data set search capability is provided on the system where the software instance resides, you can use the Add Non-SMP/E Managed Data Set page to search for and add multiple non-SMP/E managed data sets to a software instance.
Table 1 lists and describes the items that are displayed on the Add Non-SMP/E Managed Data Set page when the search capability is supported. For a description of the items that are displayed on the page when the search capability is not supported, see Specify one non-SMP/E managed data set to add.
To add non-SMP/E managed data sets, complete the steps provided in help topic Adding non-SMP/E managed data sets.

| Data set name qualifier | Enter the data set name qualifiers to be used to search for data sets. A data set name qualifier is required if no volume is specified. For the syntax rules, see Searching by data set name qualifier. |
| Volume | Type or select the volume serial for the volume where the data sets to be searched reside. A volume is required if no data set name qualifier is specified. The volume serial can contain up to 6 alphanumeric characters (A-Z, a-z, and 0-9), and the volume must be accessible by the system where the software instance resides. The Volume field lists the last 10 volume serials you entered. |
| Maximum data sets | Specify the maximum number of data sets to be returned in the search results. A value is required, and must be a whole number in the range of 1 to 10,000. The default value is 750. |
| Select Data Sets to Add | Lists the name and volume of the data sets that match your search criteria. Select one or more data sets to add to the software instance. At least one data set must be selected. |

| Deselect All | Deselect all of the selected rows in the table. |
| Hide Filter Row | Remove the filter row from view. This action is listed only when the filter row is displayed in the table. |

| Clear Sorts | Clear the sort from all of the columns in the table. This action is disabled if no sorting is specified in the table. |
