If a product information file resides on or can be accessed
by the z/OSMF host
system, use the Add action in the Product
Information Files table to specify how to access the file.
About this task
z/OSMF will
add this information to the table, and it will be shared across all
users who are authorized to retrieve product information files. z/OSMF does not retrieve
the contents of the file during an add. To retrieve its contents,
use the Retrieve action.
Restriction: The Add action is not supported
for files that are only accessible by your local workstation because z/OSMF does not preserve
information about those files.
