PIDU commands

As input to the PIDU program, you must specify one or more PIDU commands. Table 37 summarizes the PIDU commands, the function of each command, and where to find more information about the command.

The following considerations apply when you use these pidu commands to work with the system configuration definition:

  • create: This command is not allowed because Infoprint Server creates the system configuration definition automatically when it starts.
  • delete: This command is not allowed because the system configuration definition is required.
  • export: This command exports the system configuration definition only if dynamic configuration is enabled.
  • force-create: This command replaces the system configuration definition only if dynamic configuration is enabled.
  • modify: This command modifies the system configuration attributes only if dynamic configuration is enabled.
  • rename: This command is not allowed because the system configuration definition must be named "aopd.conf".

Tip:
To abbreviate command names, use enough characters to make the command name unique. For example, you can abbreviate display as di.
