Administering

Administration is the set of tasks by which you prepare and then monitor the IBM® Security Identity Governance and Intelligence environment.

Administrative activities include tasks such as managing users, services, workflow processes, and generating reports.

Virtual appliance administrator
The virtual appliance administrator is responsible for the setup and activation of the Identity Governance and Intelligence virtual appliance and for its day-to-day administration.

All the features available in IBM Security Identity Governance and Intelligence are based on different specialized integrated modules and on several architectural elements.
Administrators
An Administrator can access the Administration Console and define Administrator users as an Administrator of a single module or of all the Identity Governance and Intelligence modules; authorized to perform a selected set of tasks on module A, B, and others.
Business users
Business users are defined in the Regular Users schema and can perform tasks in the Service Center. Examples of Business users are Application Managers, User Managers/Department Managers, Role Managers, Risk Managers, and End Users.

Every Identity Governance and Intelligence module has a set of common features.
Application programming interfaces
Application programming interfaces (APIs) are part of a plug-in model that you can use to add applications without disrupting existing applications.
