Adding queue manager configuration to other HA cluster nodes on UNIX and Linux

You must add the queue manager configuration information to the other nodes in the HA cluster.

Before you begin

Before you complete this task, you must have completed the steps in Creating an HA cluster queue manager on UNIX and Linux. After you have created the queue manager, you must then add the configuration information for the queue manager to each of other nodes in the HA cluster by completing the following steps on each of the other nodes.

About this task

When you create a queue manager for use in an HA cluster, you must first select one of the nodes in the cluster on which to create the queue manager, as described in Creating an HA cluster queue manager on UNIX and Linux.

Procedure

Mount the queue manager file systems.
Add the queue manager configuration information to the node.
There are two ways of adding the configuration information:
- By editing /var/mqm/mqs.ini directly.
- By issuing the addmqinf command that was displayed by the dspmqinf command in step 6 in Creating an HA cluster queue manager on UNIX and Linux.
Start and stop the queue manager to verify the configuration.
The commands used to start and stop the queue manager must be issued from the same IBM® MQ installation as the addmqinf command. To start and stop the queue manager from a different installation from the one that is currently associated with the queue manager, you must first set the installation associated with the queue manager using the setmqm command. For more information, see setmqm.
Unmount the queue manager file systems.
