Surface charts have more visual punch than line graphs but are not so accurate to read. Use Step-by-step charts with the comparison sample data (selection 3 in panel 0.1) to see what can be achieved with surface charts. They are particularly useful in showing how shares make up a total and how they change. The first four charts below all use the same data. They are only different because of the Chart Options chosen (panel 1.2). To produce chart 5 some of the data was excluded and some was multiplied by -1. Subtopics: |
