Work Supervision Work Center

The Work Supervision Work Center facilitates the work management activities of supervisors. As a supervisor, you can manage the workload of technicians and assign owners to the work.

Before you can access the Work Supervision Work Center, an administrator must add you to the security group template for the Work Center. Security group templates are provided to enable access to work centers and tools and tasks.

The Work Supervision Work Center organizes your activities into three main pages: Work Progress, Closed Work, and Review Service Requests.

Work Progress

Work supervisors create and manage work orders on the Work Progress page.

The Work Progress page displays a card for each work order. The page organizes your work orders into four sections that correspond to the tasks you perform as the work progresses through its lifecycle. On laptops and tablets, the sections are sequential, and a work order progresses through its lifecycle from approving work to completing work.

The following table summarizes the tasks that you can perform in each section.

Section Description
Approve Work The Approve Work section displays work orders that are not approved.

When you review work orders, you can complete the following actions:

  • Quickly approve a work order directly from a card after you review the description of the problem, the priority, the location, and when the work is scheduled to start
  • Add details to the work plan, such as the tasks, labor, items, tools, or services that are needed to complete the work
  • Assign an owner or owner group to the work order
  • Assign labor and crafts
  • Add comments to communicate with your technicians
  • Add attachments
Assign Owner The Assign Owner section displays work orders that are not assigned to an owner or owner group.

You can specify an owner or owner group. The owner can then access the work order in the Work Execution Work Center.

Monitor Work The Monitor Work section displays work that is assigned to an owner or owner group.

You can monitor work orders that are in progress. You can view when the work started and the scheduled finish time, and you can add comments to communicate with the owner of the work order.

Close Work The Close Work section displays work that your technicians completed.

When a work order is completed, you can close the work order, or you can select multiple work orders to close. Before you close the work order, you can review the work details that technicians reported, such as the time that was spent and the items, materials, tools, and services that were used.

You can also approve outstanding labor transactions and create labor transactions for your technicians. If required, you can create follow-up work.

You can expand each section to full screen mode.

After you expand the sections, you can choose to display work orders in either a card format or a list format.

When work orders are in list format, you can select multiple records and apply actions to them. For example, you can select 10 work orders and approve them in one action.

Closed Work

When work is completed and you close the work order, you can review all work orders that you closed on the Closed Work page. You can also view any work that was canceled.

Review Service Requests

On the Review Service Requests page, you review requests and then create work orders for service, provide comments to the requester, or close requests. The page provides search capability and the ability to filter and sort service requests.
