Work order management

In the Work Supervision Work Center, a card displays essential information about each work order. You can select the card to view, enter, or update details about the work.

To create work orders for assets and locations, click Create work on the Work Progress page and enter information about the work.

After you enter initial details about the work and save the work order, you can use the additional tiles on the Details tab and extra tabs to add other information about the work. Each tab displays the tiles and action features that help you manage technicians and work orders, as shown in the following table.

Tab Description

  • Details about the work's status, priority, and type of work
  • Assets that are associated with the work

Inspections You can view inspections that are associated with this work order.
Plans You can add tasks, labor, items and materials, services, and tools that are required to complete the work.
Assignments You can use Assignments as an alternative way to find labor for a work order if you do not want to use the Owner or Owner Group features. Assignments are a more powerful way to assign work. Using Assignments, you can add crews and you can assign multiple labors to a job, for example, crafts with different craft and skill levels. Assignments also use a labor's shift and calendar to determine availability.
Comments You can add comments to communicate with your technician about the work.
Attachments You can add attachments, such as pictures or other files.
Reported Work You can review the work that was reported by the technician.
  • Time that was spent completing the work
  • Items or materials that were used
  • Tools that were used
  • Services that were used
  • Reported failures and information about problems, causes, and remedies
If necessary, you can add time to the work order.
