Adding assets and locations
In the Manage Assets Work Center, you manage corporate assets and locations.
Before you can access the Manage Assets Work Center, an administrator must add you to the security group template for the Work Center. Security group templates are provided to enable access to work centers and tools and tasks.
The Manage Assets Work Center organizes
asset management activities into the following pages:
- Summary
- A quick view of the number of assets and locations that you have. On the Summary page, you can quickly add a single asset or location, or you can download a template file and use that file to import data about many assets or locations.
- Assets
- The resources that you maintain and repair, such as equipment, machinery, or technology. Use the Assets page to manage these resources.
- Places
- The locations where you store, operate, or repair your assets. Use the Places page to manage locations.
